Hey, what's up? This is Ronin from Scratching Made Easy. In this video, we are going to continue working on the cut. This time around, we are going to add eighth note baby scratches to the rhythms. You’ll find a link to the sheet music below. OK, let’s walk through the first rhythm. We are going to release on beat one, close the fader, and pull back on beat two, then baby scratch three and four and. In the second measure, we are going to baby scratch one and two and, release on beat three, close the fader, and pull back on beat four. The tempo is at 85 beats per minute. Here we go!

 

Rhythm 1


Let’s play that example again, but this time we are going to play the same rhythm two times for a total of four measures. This time around, let’s concentrate on making sure that we are closing the fader and cutting off the sound of the pullback. Alright, here we go.

 

Rhythm 2

 

Let’s take a look at the third example. This time, we are going to release on beat one, cut on beat two, release on beat three, cut on beat four. In the second measure, we are going to baby scratch one and two and three and four and. We are going to play this two times for a total of four measures. Alright, here we go!

Let’s go ahead and break down the fourth and final example. We are going to release on beat one, cut on beat two, release on beat three, cut on beat four. In the second measure, we are going to baby scratch one and two and three and four and. We are going to play this four times for a total of eight measures. Alright, here we go!
