Hey, what’s up? This is the last video in our cut series, so we are going to step things up a bit. We are going to add sixteenth note baby scratches to the previously studied material. You’ll find a link to the sheet music and anything mentioned in this video in the description below. If at any time you are confused, remember to check back to previous videos. Alright, let’s get started and walk through the first rhythm. In the first measure, we are going to release on beat one, cut on beat two, then baby scratch three e and ah, four and. In the second measure, we are going to release on beat one, cut on beat two, then baby scratch three and four e and ah. The tempo is at 95 beats per minute. Time to get started.

 

Rhythm 1

 

Let’s play that example again, but this time we are going to play the rhythm two times for a total of four measures. This time around, let’s concentrate on making sure that we are not rushing when we drop the record or coming in late after we cut. Alright, here we go.

 

Rhythm 2

 

Let’s go ahead and take a look at the third rhythm. This time, in the first measure, we are going to baby scratch beat one and beat two, release on beat three, cut on beat four. For the second measure, we are going to baby scratch one and two e and ah, release on beat three, then cut on beat four. We are going to play this two times for a total of four measures.

We are now going to take a look at the fourth example. In the first measure, we are going to baby scratch one, and release on beat two, cut on beat three, then baby scratch four e and ah. For the second measure, we are going to baby scratch one, two, three, and four e and ah. We are going to play this two times for a total of four measures.

 

Rhythm 4

 

Now we are going to break down the fifth and final example. We are going to baby scratch one, and drop on beat two, cut on beat three, then baby scratch four e and ah. For the second measure, we are going to baby scratch one, two, three, and four e and ah. We are going to play this four times for a total of eight measures. Alright, here we go!
