Some people may tell you that learning how to read music isn’t necessary to be a Scratch DJ, but you will only limit yourself by thinking this way. Sheet music is a visual representation of rhythms on a page that tells your hands what to do. Learning how to read music may seem difficult, but it’s easier than you think, and it will help you improve faster.
Time Signature
Learn to count and play 6/8 time signature.
Scratch Techniques
Learn the Baby Scratch and Chirp. Learn how to combine these basic techniques and develop your own scratch patterns.
Beats, Bars & Phrases
Knowing how to count music will give you a better understanding of song structure. Learning the fundamentals of rhythm will allow you to give structure to your scratch phrases.

You are free to jump between lessons. However, they get progressively more difficult, so we strongly suggest taking the lessons in order, to ensure that the concepts covered are understood. Still, you should determine what is best for you.

Yes, videos can be viewed via our website on mobile phones and tablets.
I am not a beginner DJ. Is this course for me?

How many parts does this course have?
This course is made up of 32 lessons that can be purchased individually.
How many lessons are in each part?
Each part of this course contains 1 lesson and 70+ videos.
Do I have to purchase the entire course?
You have the option to purchase an individual lesson, or to purchase bundles. A bundle of 4 lessons is 7% off, a bundle of 8 is 12% off, a bundle of 16 is 19% off, and if the decision is to purchase the entire course, it's 25% off!
Example: if you buy one lesson at full price and then decide you want to continue, pay the full price for lessons 2-4. But then you can purchase lessons 5-8 at a 7% discount. (Which comes out to 3.5% off for lessons 1-8.) From there, choose another bundle for further savings.
Do I need to purchase your book, Scratching Made Easy Turntable Method Book 1: A Guide to Scratching with the course?
No, you don’t. The book is included when you purchase a bundle. If you purchase an individual lesson the corresponding PDF for the lesson is included.
