In this final lesson of the Stab Series, we’re going to wrap things up with quarter notes, quarter rests, eighth notes, eighth rests, and sixteenth notes. In other words, we’re going to put together everything we’ve covered so far. Let’s count it off and get started. The tempo is at 85 beats per minute. Here we go!

For the next example, let’s focus on not rushing through the rests while keeping our strokes clean and even. You’ve been doing this for a while now, so you know our strokes need to be tight, clean, and evenly spaced. Alright, here we go!

Let’s keep it moving and close out this series by going back to the basics. We’re going to count out loud. We’re going to focus on making our strokes clean and consistent. We’re going to get our stabs to sound identical, and we’re going to keep them evenly spaced. And we’re doing all of this while playing in time. Here we go!
