Hey, what’s up? This is Ronin from Scratching Made Easy. We’re picking up right where we left off in the previous video. We’re going to continue working on stabbing and baby scratching quarter notes, eighth notes, and sixteenth notes. You can find a link to the sheet music and anything else we talk about in the description below. If you ever feel confused, don’t worry. Just check back to the earlier videos. In the next example, let’s focus on getting our baby scratches to have clean, even strokes. Remember, we want our strokes to sound the same each. Let’s also work on keeping our stabs evenly spaced, and aim to make them sound identical too.  Let’s count it off. Here we go!

It can take a lot of time and effort to get your stabs to sound identical, so it might be worth dedicating part of your practice sessions just to working on stabs.  It’s always a good idea to have practice sessions with specific goals and objectives. For this third example, let’s continue focusing on making our strokes as clean and consistent as possible. We want those stabs to sound the same. Let’s count it off. Here we go.
